Position:  Occupational Therapist (Acute Care) 


Position Type:  PRN


PRN Defined:  Work minimum of one shift per two week pay period to assist with staffing for coverage of absences for staff planned/unplanned and/or increase in census.  The more you are available the more you can work if shifts are available.

Unit(s) Assignment/Patients Supported:  


This is an acute careoccupational therapy position.  The therapist will be assigned to theacute care occupational therapy department and will see patients on variousdifferent floors in the hospital including, but not limited to: ProgressiveCare, Cardiovascular Services, Orthopedic, Intensive and Critical Careunits. 

 


Job Description:  

*The Staff Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, implementation of Plan of Care, and treatment of patients with physical/cognitive disabilities and pain within the scope of practice of a licensed Occupational Therapist.  

*The Staff Occupational Therapist participates in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement therapeutic interventions and instructional programs pertinent to Occupational Therapy. 

*Demonstrates the knowledge and skill set to provide appropriate care to a variety of patient populations including the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
