Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Foreman assists in coordination of construction site activities and supervision of craft personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget as required by the contract. This includes maintaining the highest quality and safety practices with all on-site activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supervises a crew of craft personnel, subcontractors and prioritizes work
• Marine Mammal Observer (training will be provided).
• Perform some scopes of work; carpentry, drywall, painting, cleaning, demo, etc.
• Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees
• Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines to achieve completion of the project with quality workmanship
• Conducts regular tailgate safety meetings
• Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/construction duties, including project layout, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner
• Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process
• Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames
• Promotes and enforces all company safety policies and procedures and rectifies job site hazards immediately
• Complies with all company policies, and procedures and safety requirements, including crew member discipline and documentation
• Submits time sheets to payroll by deadline
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma
• 3+ years of progressive experience and responsibility in construction
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on a service-oriented approach in dealing with coworkers and clients
• Valid state driver’s license
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Able to self-perform some minor scopes of work; carpentry, drywall, cleaning, demo, etc.

Preferred:
• Associates degree
• Government construction experience
• Ability to estimate projects
• OSHA 30
• CPR & First Aid trained
• Healthcare and railroad experience
• Willing to travel

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The employee is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside. The majority of the work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to forty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
