full-time Certified Nurse Aide I
to join our team!
The incumbent will work with elderly residents who not only experience physical limitations but also have varying rates of confusion/dementia. The incumbent will provide interventions with confused residents when warranted.
The incumbent will perform routine Certified Nurse Aide duties such as:
- Monitoring hydration and body functions; taking blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; recording height and weight.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) by encouraging residents to be self-reliant.
- Assist residents to and from the dining room, provide reminders and cueing for meals, etc.
- Recognize and report any unusual signs or symptoms of common diseases and conditions.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Assist residents to social and recreational activities.
- Promote good mental health of the residents.
- Participate in training and in-services.
The successful candidate will need the ability to work as a team member and the ability to get along with peers, family members, and residents in the facility.
This facility is an Eden Alternative facility. The selected candidate may have contact with plants and flowers, birds, cats, and dogs.

- Minimum Qualifications
A current Nurse Aide certification issued by the State of Alaska.
A criminal background investigation including fingerprinting is required. Individuals convicted of a barrier crime under Alaska Statute 47.33 and Nurse Aides listed on the State of Alaska's Abuse Registry will not be eligible for employment.
Positions require certification as a Nurse Aide in the State of Alaska. A person eligible for certification may apply for a position but may not be appointed until an Alaska certification is obtained.
Successful candidates will be required to provide proof they are free from active pulmonary tuberculosis at the time of hire. Employees are required to be tested annually.

- Your current State of Alaska Certified Nurse Aide certificate
- Three (3) professional references and two (2) personal references with current contact information
- A copy of your CPR and First Aid certificate, if available
At time of employment candidate must submit:
- Proof of current TB status
