We are currently seeking an experienced Perishables (Produce/Meat) Merchandiser. Please Note: This position is located in Anchorage Alaska.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Establish merchandising standards in the perishable departments of each store. Insure department merchandising programs are being followed. Insure receiving and marking standards are followed.

Insure ordering procedures and time lines are being followed.

Insure department and company markdown policies are followed.

2. Perishable Department Resets

Coordinate store resets with Operations Manager, Marketing, Vendors and Store.

Order expendable supplies for reset requirements to include tag request.

Check completed sets for completeness of items and appearance.

3. Monitor training delivery to ensure consistency, elevating concerns where necessary

Department Manager-in-Training tracking to ensure training goals are met.

Schedule trainee movement, activities and relief assignments in conjunction with the Store ??s Training Specialist.

Track and follow up on each trainee ??s progress on a regular basis.

Monitor Best Practice adherence, coach and train where necessary.

4. Space Utilization

Help to develop the metrics and analytics to insure each store is merchandised to maximize inventory productivity, through item movement reports, category sales and like store movement reports.

Develop seasonal product layout, flow and seasonal timelines for display.

Review and work with stores on their Perishable Inventory Results, and markdown Sheets to identify problems and opportunities.

Recommend new and replacement fixtures to improve sales.

5. Establish and maintain store profiles for merchandising plans with P&M assistants

Create department layouts for all stores and keep updated. Record changes as they occur.

Establish record files of stores sales events.

REQUIREMENTS:

*

MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO RELOCATE TO ANCHORAGE ALASKA.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Perishables (Produce/Meat) Merchandising role in a grocery/retail environment

*

Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with a high attention to detail

*

Proven organizational, planning and prioritizing skills

*

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for negotiation and building and maintaining customer and relationships

*

Must have the ability and desire to develop an in-depth understanding of ACC's customers

*

Demonstrates a personal and enthusiastic commitment to ACC's vision, mission, values and strategies
