About the Business Line Environment Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
Job Description
Seeking a candidate for a mid-level position to perform and manage environmental planning/impact assessment and permitting projects in Alaska. Work could include performing literature reviews, authoring sections of impact assessment documents, preparing permit applications, performing permit gap analyses, providing public meeting support, participating in meetings with regulatory agency representatives, and managing small and medium size projects. Business development responsibilities include establishing relationships with existing clients and assisting in the preparation of proposals. Other related duties may be assigned.
Qualifications include industry or consulting experience related to planning and permitting for energy, mining, pipeline, manufacturing, construction, or demolition programs. Working level experience preferred in regulatory permitting and compliance such as NEPA, FERC, State of Alaska permitting, Section 404, Endangered Species Act, and land use permitting.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills, able to use time management tools effectively. B.S./B.A. or M.S./M.A. in biological, physical, or social sciences with 3-6 years of related experience required.
